Awesome lights. Not for seeing the road but great for overall visibility.
I’m really happy with my set of Shredlights. I was previously using the Thunderbolt lights from Serra’s for my Evolve GT/X boards, but the elastic straps tear easily and also get in the way when you use the rear truck to pull your board around (esk8 mall grab). With the updated attachment adapters, these are perfect. I have the headlights installed under the deck and the rear lights on top of the deck. Yes, they’re pricey, but you get quality for what you pay.
Now i can Shred into the Abyss
Haven't tried to install yet, which will be the big test of usability. So far so good.
I'm really glad someone came up with a solution for lighting on eboards- the light output -- considering these are only a few inches off the ground -- is quite good. I like how they have a more rectangular output as opposed to round that scatter. The brackets are well constructed and clear the wheels on my Boosted Stealth without issue. Each light has to be turned on and charged independently which is kind of a bummer but I knew that going in. The mounting method is simple- no issues there. The only real gripe I have with these are the way you charge them- the charging port has a small grommet for waterproofing I assume that is a real pain to fish out and they're not attached to anything so it's a matter of time until these tiny little things get lost. It would be really great if these were tethered t othe silicone enclosure and perhaps on the back of the lights so they could be charged while still on the board.
I love these lights, super bright and very durable. Highly recommend
This is my second purchase of ShedLights. This iteration (purchased November 2018) has a small rubber plug to cover the charging port, which is a big improvement since water intrusion is what fouled out my last two ShredLights. The plug, however, is very difficult to take out/put back due to the recessed charging port, so I have to use a pair of needlenose pliers to remove or insert the plug. The second improvement is the addition of a flashing mode on the lights. The first gen only ad high and low, but the flashing function makes me much more visible when riding in traffic at night.
These lights have saved my life twice lol nothing comes close to these very bright and easy install
